The mysterious pyramid on the seabed

Underwater archaeologists are faced with another mystery, found on the bottom of the lake Pusan (South-Western province of Yunnan), an ancient pyramid. The height of the pyramid is 19 meters, the length of its base — 90 feet. Enigmatic structure built of stone slabs and consists of five steps. The top two level of the pyramid, made of Sandstone, are destroyed. And other ledges, constructed limestone, firmer breed is well preserved. Interestingly, at the bottom of the lake Pusan has, at least, nine objects of such size, and the number of medium and small plants of another species has thirty.

As suggested by the head of the archaeological center at the University Whether Kunsheng, the object is the creation of an ancient civilization. The area of the architectural complex is about 2.5 square kilometers. From the bottom of the lake archeologists have lifted a clay vessel, which, made in the period of the Eastern Han Dynasty, which ruled in the 25 — 220 years of our era.

Meanwhile, as writes “KP in Ukraine”, underwater pyramids found and earlier.

In 1968, the pilot of the Brush in the area of the Bahamas, Bimi-nor Andros and saw under the water surface of a large stone structure. The researchers, with the help of underwater archaeologists and results Aerophotos the survey found there the destroyed buildings, pyramids with the basis 54×42 m, streets, fortifications, port with big breakwaters, the mysterious circles, lined with huge stones and much more.

In 1936 doctor F. Morgan has seen three pyramids at the bottom of Rock lake near the city of Maryland (USA). Divers examined them and confirmed that it really pyramids with the square and rectangular bases, and also “cut” the top.

In 1973 with the vessel “Academician Petrovsky” pictures were taken of a huge block of buildings located on the ocean floor in 240 miles to the South-West of Portugal.

One of the most interesting discoveries occurred in 1985 when in coastal waters of the small Japanese island of Yonaguni local diving instructor, Kihachiro Arataki stumbled upon a strange object. Close to the shore just under the surface of the waves he saw the enormous stone monument stretched to visibility limits. Wide equal platforms covered with an ornament from rectangles and rhombuses, passed in intricate terraces cascading down the big steps. The object edge breaks vertically downwards a wall to the bottom on depth of 27 metres, forming one of the walls of the trench, extending along the entire monument. The structural members, it seemed, had absolutely certain architectural scheme, reminding the stepped pyramids of Ancient Sumer.

Later a group of researchers sent by the broadcaster Discovery Channel, found at the bottom the sculptural image of a human head, and in a characteristic headdress from the feathers, obviously having something in common with similar sculptures of Central America, confirming the artificial nature of pyramid.

Moreover, it was found that the temple near the coast of Japan, built from multiton stone blocks and a high-mountainous sanctuary of Machu Picchu (the city-fortress of the Incas), possess analogies in constructive decisions. In two cases, in places of a convergence of walls builders stacked G-shaped blocks, providing a seamless connection.

It remains a mystery how the culture that originated at the foot of the Andes, could leave such a significant mark near the shores of another continent.
